passive, boring¡K..these are the public¡¦s general impressions of museums. To
meet the interest of the public with different tastes and preferences, Hong Kong
museums have been organizing rich and diverse programmes over the years. The
¡§International Museum Day¡¨ (IMD) is organized to promote museum¡¦s
fascinating activities to the public.
Nowadays,
museums are places of learning and enjoyment. ¡§Learning, Exploring, and
Relaxing at Museum¡¨ is the theme of IMD 2004, Hong Kong. Visitors always have
fun and a gain to knowledge when visiting museums.
IMD
2004, Hong Kong is scheduled for 15 to 16 May. The Museum Exposition will be
held at the Piazza and Special Exhibition Hall of the Hong Kong Science Museum.
A series of programmes, including exhibitions, performances, demonstrations,
family activities, stall games and quiz games, etc, will be organized. Visitors
to the Museum Exposition will be given a ¡§Hong Kong Museums Tour¡¨ game card,
and they can receive souvenirs, including souvenir stamps and covers, when
visiting museums with this card between 17 May and 29 August 2004.
