內 容
演講室為紀念香港大學婦產科主任暨醫學院院長王國棟教授而命名。王教授(1938-1956年)不但任重道遠，孜孜不倦，致力培訓專業療人員，發
展香港婦產科服務，更於1942至1945年第二次世界大戰期間，每年探訪因戰亂而走讀於八間中國大學的140名香港大學醫科學生，帶給他們由英國文化委員會提供的生活津貼，使他們於戰亂中得以繼續學業。為此，一部份畢業生與王教授同僚捐獻此演講室以表揚王教授的寶貴貢獻。
贊育醫院舊址位於西營盤西邊街，於1922年為華人公立醫局主席曹善允所創辦。其目標為:
一) 滿足當年匱乏的產科需求
二) 訓練助產護士
Content
The Gordon King Lecture Room is named after Professor Gordon King, Head, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, HKU from 1938 - 1956 and Dean of Faculty of Medicine. Apart from playing an important role to develop obstetrical & gynaecological services in Hong Kong, and in training of specialists in the field, Professor King was instrumental in helping war-time students of the University during the period 1942-45, when they were dispersed in 8 different centres in China to continue their studies. Once a year, he visited them to bring them a stipend for their needs with grants from the British Council. For such contributions, this Gallery is sponsored by some of these students, together with his former colleagues, in memory of him.
Tsan Yuk Hospital, opened in 1922, at Western Street, Sai Ying Poon, was founded by Mr. S.W. Tso, Chairman of the Chinese Public Dispensary Committee. The Hospital has two main objectives : i) to provide a much needed maternity service and ii) to train midwives.
展覽摘要
一) 1950年代的贊育醫院產科病房極端擠逼，從圖片中可以看見兩個產婦和一個嬰兒共睡一張床。
二) 另一幀圖片可看見孕婦們排長龍輪候產前檢查，因為贊育醫院在孕婦心目中是一間可靠的產科醫院。
三) 舊產科儀器展出有：產鉗、導管、碎顱鉗、軸牽引產鉗、斷胎兒頭鉤等。
Highlights
i) The Old Tsan Yuk Hospital in the year 1950 was extremely overcrowded. We can see from the photo that two mothers and a baby were sharing one bed.
ii) Another photo demonstrates the popularity of Old Tsan Yuk Hospital, especially with mothers, who formed long queues, waited to be seen in the Ante-natal clinic.
iii) Kielland's Forceps, Drew-Smythe Catheter, Jardine's Cephalotribe, Neville's Axis-Traction Forceps, Decapitating Hook, were equipment used during difficult childbirth.

以前妊娠婦女小產和難產甚為普遍，但隨著婦產專科進步，今日的嬰兒大多健康正常。
Message
In the past, miscarriage and difficult delivery werewas common among women in childbirth, however, with the training of specialists in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, most newborn babies nowadays are normal and healthy.
