The Herbalist Shop at the basement reconstructs how the traditional Chinese Medical Practitioners provided medical services to patients in the past. On display are specimens of Chinese herbal medicines categorised according to parts of plants, animal or mineral, the principles of preparing some of these from unprocessed materials, and the tools and apparatus for cutting and crushing them into portions suitable for filling prescriptions.
