In Loving Memory of Dr. Laurence Hou Lee Tsun
It is with profound sorrow that the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences Society announces the peaceful passing of Dr. Laurence Hou Lee Tsun on 3rd April 2026.Dr. Hou was a founding member of our Board of Directors, a former Chairman, and recently served as our Vice Patron. As a respected leader in the medical community, he exemplified professional distinction, compassion, and integrity. His vision and dedication greatly shaped the development of the Museum, and his contributions will be remembered with deep gratitude.
Dr. Hou served as Head of the Department of Pathology at the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospitals. Coming from a distinguished medical family, he was the son of Professor Hou Pao Chang, former Head of the Department of Pathology at The University of Hong Kong and a pioneer in the field.
Dr. Hou’s beloved wife passed away only a few months ago after an illness. They are survived by their two devoted daughters, to whom we extend our deepest condolences. May they find comfort in knowing that Dr. and Mrs. Hou’s legacy of kindness, service, and professional excellence will continue to inspire future generations.
May Dr. Hou rest in eternal peace. His wisdom, generosity, and lifelong dedication to medicine will remain an enduring part of our history.
