Opening of the Bacteriological Institute, HK’s first purpose-built public health and medical laboratory.

1990

The Old Pathological Institute was declared a public monument, after its services were relocated to various newly built facilities.

1996

Opening of the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences, operated by the HKMMS Society.

2004

Acknowledged by the Antiquities and Monuments Office with an award for most-appropriately revitalizing the Monument.
